- EPA is also working with stakeholders to develop and implement additional national recycling definitions, measures, targets and performance indicators under the National Recycling Strategy. These definitions, measures, targets and performance indicators will help advance the understanding of how the recycling system is performing. This effort will improve data availability and granularity for a range of recyclables and support tracking and measuring progress nationally. EPA will continue to collaborate with interested stakeholders to develop standardized definitions, measurement methodologies, baselines and targets for future metrics and the National Recycling Goal. This work will include work by other entities, including consensus standards bodies, to identify and develop additional metrics.”
